## Help Without Paperwork

Some people want help with their home but do not want anything else that often comes with it: no doctor’s referral, no case worker, no diagnosis, no family meeting and definitely no neighbours finding out. That is completely reasonable. Homes slip for all sorts of reasons, including depression, illness, grief, burnout, injury or simply a long stretch of getting by. You do not owe anyone an explanation to get your space back. Our

service is built for exactly this. If you are not sure whether your home counts as squalor or hoarding, our guide on

 explains the difference.

## What “No Diagnosis” Means in Practice

- **No referral needed.** You book directly.
- **No questions about why.** The crew lead asks about the home, not your history.
- **No labels.** We never use clinical terms or shame words about you or your home.
- **No reports.** We do not share anything with doctors, agencies or landlords unless you ask.
- **Your pace.** You decide what gets done first and whether you are home.

## What Neighbours See (and Do Not See)

| What you might worry about | What actually happens |
| --- | --- |
| A branded truck outside | Plain white vans with no lettering |
| People in hazmat suits on the lawn | Crews arrive in everyday clothes and change inside |
| Bags with warning labels | Sealed bags in plain outer boxes |
| Bags piled at the curb | Taken away in the van, never left out |
| Questions in the hallway | Crews do not discuss the job in common areas |
| Photos online | Never. Photos are for your records only |

In condos and apartments, we book the service elevator with management, which only tells them a contractor is coming. Most neighbours assume it is a move, a delivery or a small renovation.

> **Confidentiality is part of the job**
>
> We treat the details of your home the way a doctor treats a chart. They stay private.

## How a Private Cleanup Works

1. **You get in touch** by phone, text or message. Share as much or as little as you like. Photos help but are optional.
2. **We send a written price** after a brief visit or from photos, so you know the cost upfront.
3. **We schedule a time** that suits you, including quieter hours if you prefer.
4. **The crew works quietly**, removing spoiled items and waste, cleaning floor to ceiling, treating odour at the source and disinfecting.
5. **You check the result** with the crew lead, or receive photos if you were out.

## If a Landlord or Family Is Already Involved

Sometimes a landlord notice, a Property Standards Order or a worried relative is what prompted the call. Even then, you stay in charge. We can provide a completion letter and photos to show the work was done, but only what you agree to share, and only to the people you choose. If a family member is paying, we still speak with you about the plan for your home.

## After the Cleanup

Some clients book a light maintenance visit a month or two later to keep the kitchen and bathroom on track. It is optional. If you would like information about Toronto support services, we can share it, but only if you ask. Our guide on

has more on our zero-judgment approach.

Reaching out is often the hardest part. When you are ready, a short message is all it takes to start.
